Dr. Butcher has been my son’s pediatrician since he was born; he’s now 18 years old. On top of being a wonderful doctor, he is compassionate and kind. He and his staff go above and beyond for patients. Highly recommend Dr B & his practice!

I was concerned because of a miscommunication with stepdad with my child’s medicine that the prescription wouldn’t be refilled in an adequate amount of time she personally went to the Dr and brought my request to the Dr attention! We absolutely love the doctors, nurses and staff! My girls have been patients of Dr. Butcher since birth. They are now almost 14 and 16!! We highly recommend this practice!

Dr. Butcher is a highly recognized and award winning pediatrician in Newport News. He doesn’t do it alone and has a strong staff with other providers with amazing reputations. Dr. Butcher is known for being a caring physician and when I met him I could tell this. He makes his patients feel comfortable with a cozy office atmosphere and a soft voice. Each of his exam rooms are themed differently. Harry Potter, Sesame Street, Mr. Rodger’s and lots of Disney which is Dr. Butcher’s favorite place to vacation. I also got the chance to meet his wife Valerie who also works at the office. She was friendly, smiled and gave me a tour. When considering a pediatrician they are not all alike, choose wisely. I would recommend Pediatrics at Oyster Point.

All three of my children were patients at Pediatrics of Oyster Point. Although they are college age now, Dr. Butcher was able to see them and provide excellent care. My daughter recently had some very scary serious with migraines and he has worked with us to make sure she was getting the proper treatment. He always goes the extra steps to ensure his patients are well taken care of.

22 years in the fire and EMS field so I've seen more than a few doctors. Dr Butcher was recommended by TPMG, and my wife and I decided to give him a try. We just had our 2nd appointment and we are both very happy with Dr Butcher. Very personable, takes time to answer questions and remove worries from new parents. Staff is very friendly and upbeat. I just noticed today they have a "sick" and a "healthy" waiting room which is really creative and forward thinking. Highly recommend The doctor and his practice.

Amazing staff, amazing service. I’ve been coming here since my first born was a few months old and I don’t regret my decision of choosing this office. Dr. Butcher is absolutely amazing. In the event I have to see another provider due to an emergency appointment, they’ve always been a pleasure as well. Anytime I need anything done they’re super quick and easy to work with. I honestly love this office and wouldn’t choose any other place to care for my kids.

We love POP! I’ve been taking my son since he was born and we’ve always felt so welcomed, heard, and cared for. From the friendly staff to the fun (and beautiful) wall art in every room, we happily drive from Norfolk for each appointment. They are prompt with a response whenever we call with questions or concerns and have gone out of their way to help me get copies of shot records for school registration. If you’re bringing a new baby into the world or new to the area and want doctors, nurses, and staff you can trust - call POP. You won’t be disappointed!

I cannot say enough about the doctors and PA’s here. Dr. Morris and Dr. Payne were my doctors when I was younger which was over 30 years ago. They are amazing and the environment (painted walls in every Disney or children’s characters you can imagine) just add the icing to the cake. I have never ran into a rude staff member. Always willing to help me with my bags while I had a little one. Always going over and beyond especially during the formula shortage a year and a half ago. I love this office and you will not be disappointed. Oh and I forgot to mentor my older 6 went there too when they were younger.

I just started all of my kids here after moving from out of state and we've never felt so welcome. They are the kindest staff and you can see they care for their patients in more ways than just doing their job. Dr. Butcher bought a humidifier for my daughter after my pharmacy wouldn't cover his prescription for it. This office is truly a blessing.

Dr. Butcher and his team are top notch professionals who will go above and beyond for your child. Not to mention the office is incredibly welcoming and it's always fun to see which themed room you will be in for that appointment. I'm very happy that we finally made the switch to Pediatrics at Oyster Point.

My daughter has been a patient of Dr. Butcher’s for over 20 years and we have loved every minute of his time. His staff have always been respectful and helpful. When my daughter had a difficult time transitioning to middle school, Dr Butcher took the time to sit down with us, had a talk with her, gave us some good advice, and we got through it with his help. A while back they had Career Day at my son's Quinn's Preschool and he dressed up as Dr Butcher from Pediatrics at Oyster Point 😍 He loves Dr Butcher so much and was quick to pick him as his Career choice! He and the staff always make Quinn feel better, safe and happy (and he's spent a lot of time at the Drs lately.) He said he wanted to be like Dr Butcher when he grows up and make kids feel better and give them strep tests, shots and lollipops. I just wanted to share this news with anyone considering attending this office as he's a wonderful Dr and the staff here can't be beat!!
