Dr. Rose Cloud

Dr. Rose Cloud graduated at the top of her class from Medical school, receiving gold medals for Medicine, ObGyn, Pharmacology, and Highest Academic Achievement. She was also recipient of the Trophy for Valedictorian.

After completing her pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters (CHKD), Dr. Cloud worked for 8 years at McDonald Army Hospital at Fort Eustis until November 1992. She opened her solo pediatric practice in Newport News in December 1992, where she practiced until 2020 when she retired from private practice.

During the COVID pandemic, Dr. Cloud started seeing children via telemedicine, using her active medical licenses in Virginia, Florida, Texas and North Carolina. She enjoys interacting with patients and their parents from different areas of the country.

Dr. Cloud is delighted to be part of the team at POP, as she has known Dr. Butcher for a long time in private practice. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and her three grandchildren and playing golf.
