Nicole Ivie

Nicole Ivie, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, CEN is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She grew up in Central New York and relocated to Virginia as a young adult. She earned her Associate Degree in Nursing at ECPI University, BSN from Galen University, and MSN at Chamberlain University. Nicole has more than 10 years of bedside nursing experience, spending the majority of her nursing career in the emergency department. Here is where she developed a strong clinical foundation and appreciation for evidence-based, family centered, collaborative care. Although trained to care for patients across the lifespan, she was called to pediatrics. During her clinical rotations, she was mentored by Dr.Butcher and quickly found herself drawn to the children and families at Pediatrics at Oyster Point.

Nicole believes that every child deserves to feel heard, respected, and cared for while ensuring parents feel supported and confident in their child’s care. She enjoys helping families navigate preventive care, developmental milestones, and acute illnesses while emphasizing education, teamwork, and open communication. She believes some of the best medicine begins with listening, educating, and empowering families to make informed decisions together.

Outside of the office, Nicole likes to spend her time in the outdoors. She has been running marathons since 2016 and started tacking triathlons in 2022. Her husband is her biggest supporter and often race-day sherpa for she and her friends. When not training, Nicole and her husband enjoy quiet evenings at home with their three dogs, or spending time with family and friends.
