About Us
Pediatrics at Oyster Point was established in 2012 by Dr. Brian Butcher, a native of Newport News, Virginia. Since that time, we have been dedicated to making a positive impact on our patients’ overall health and well-being and on the diverse community in which we serve.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide the highest quality of compassionate, comprehensive pediatric care in a family centered environment. The principles and foundation of our practice is to deliver superior, individual, and expert care, with an emphasis on developing a medical home, while maintaining the highest of ethical standards and professionalism in the care that we deliver to our patients. We endeavor to partner with our families to increase their education, skills, and participation in developing safe and health environments for our children.
About Our Office and Staff
Our office offers separate waiting rooms for well and sick visits. Our staff is professional, helpful, and kind.
Our building is cheerful and welcoming with beautiful artwork covering the walls. Each room contains unique murals by a local artist that highlights scenes or characters from famous children’s books. Dr. Butcher is passionate about children’s literacy, so it was important to him to feature literature in every corner of our office. Our patients are excited for every visit to find out which themed room they get to visit!
Dr. Butcher’s Children’s Book
Dr. Butcher has written his own children’s book that is available for purchase on Amazon. Little Speck is an encouraging and fun rhyming story for children of all ages, and it was illustrated by the same local artist who decorated our office walls.
