Erin Smith
Erin Smith is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with over a decade of experience caring for pediatric patients. They earned their master of science in nursing from Old Dominion University and have dedicated their career to supporting children and families through every stage of development.
Erin offers both telehealth and monthly in-person appointments to meet the needs of today’s busy families. Virtual visits may include mental health support, ADHD conferences, medication checks, developmental follow-ups, allergy concerns, lab reviews, and healthy lifestyle or nutrition counseling – providing accessible, thoughtful care when and where families need it most.
With a strong foundation in pediatric critical care and more than two years in pediatric primary care, Erin blends clinical excellence with genuine warmth and compassion. They are currently pursuing certification as a pediatric mental health specialist and often incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy techniques into visits to support emotional growth and resilience in children.
Erin is committed to providing a safe, affirming space for all families, including LGBTQ+ youth and children from diverse backgrounds. They are easy to connect with, naturally adapt to a variety of patient needs and environments, and are highly attuned to the intersecting identities – such as race, culture, gender, and socioeconomic background – that shape each child’s experience.
Outside the clinic, Erin is a proud parent of two, lives with their husband – originally from Spain – and their two beloved dogs. They enjoy art, interior design, ceramics, gardening, and traveling to new countries. Erin is also dedicated to improving their Spanish and loves practicing with both family and patients alike.
At the heart of Erin’s work is a deep passion for pediatrics, emotional wellness, and building trusting relationships with families. They aim to meet every child where they are, offering care that is respectful, inclusive, and rooted in empathy.
